Durian Drop is a catch game: slide the basket, catch the fruit, dodge the coconuts. It is also an experiment in how small a fun game can be.
- Every fruit is drawn with a few lines of canvas code: spikes for durian, hairs for rambutan, a leafy cap for mangosteen.
- The game speeds up slowly the longer you survive, so it is easy to start and hard to put down.
- It works with a finger, a mouse or the arrow keys.
The whole thing is one file, small enough to load instantly on a slow connection at the back of a restaurant. That matters for the QR-code games we want to build for families waiting for their food.
